How does the
Elo work in Padel?

It depends on the Elo difference between the two pairs and on the margin of the result: the system takes games won and lost into account. A typical match moves between 10 and 30 points; a wide win against higher-rated opponents can reach 50 (the absolute maximum is 64). In doubles matches the pair's average Elo is used and both partners gain or lose the same points.

After 5-10 matches, your Elo already reflects your level quite well. The more matches you play, the more accurate it becomes.

A walkover is not scored like a normal win: the system treats it as a neutral result with half the weight. Ratings only adjust slightly — the favourite may lose a little Elo and the underdog gain a little — so nobody can inflate their rating through WOs.

No: each player has a single global Elo rating, updated by every match — both league and LuxPadel tournament matches. The ranking can be viewed filtered (for example men's and women's), but the rating is always the same one.

Your Elo carries over between seasons: it is never reset. New players start at 1,500 points, and the rating is shared with LuxPadel tournaments — every match counts towards the same Elo.
